On I April 2009 the Committee on Legal Affairs of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania
received your letters of 3 and 31 March 2009 expressing concern over the cuts on public
spending on police institutions,
Please be infonned that the Seimas Committee on Legal Affairs requested the Minister of
Finance and Minister of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania to consider what could be done
to address the problems defined in your letters and to infonn you about the results of the
deliberations on the issue,
